Evelyn Chavarría is Senior Associate at Lex Atlas.
With over 20 years of professional experience, she has served as an “in-house lawyer” advisor in several national and international companies, as well as in two highly recognized Law Firms in the Republic of Guatemala, gaining experience especially in the area of civil litigation and commercial, in international and national arbitrations, corporate advice, participation in due diligence processes for the granting of syndicated loans.
Within the performance of these areas, she has obtained excellent results, such as the recovery of high-value properties; the successful defence of a frequency band for one of the main telecommunications companies in Guatemala; arbitrations on insurance and reinsurance issues and arbitrations related to different types of trusts, among others.
She has also successfully participated in family patrimony negotiations, in which shares of corporations that own Shopping Centers, Urban Farms, Real Estate and other movable and immovable assets.
Among the works carried out are services granted to companies such as Comunicaciones Celulares, S.A., Banco Industrial, S.A., Aseguradora de los Trabajadores, Banco Industrial, S.A., Kimberly Clark Guatemala, SBA Torres Guatemala, Sociedad Anónima, as well as different family groups, among others.
Evelyn has been recognized within one of the most prestigious legal rankings worldwide, Legal 500, as a recommended lawyer in 2022 and 2023 in Dispute Resolutions.
She also served as an advisor to the Presidency of the Supreme Court of Justice and as a lawyer in the Chamber of Amparos and Antejuicios of the Supreme Court of Justice, having acquired extensive experience in constitutional issues.
